1. Who we are

Dada Hub ("Dada Hub", "we", "us") is Africa's first women-led Bitcoin and technology developer hub, based in Nairobi, Kenya, and part of the wider Bitcoin Dada and Dada Devs ecosystem. This policy explains what information we collect through dadahub.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

• Your name and email address when you sign in, apply for membership, register for an event, or submit a form.
• Company and hiring details when you submit a talent request.
• Organization and partnership details when you submit a partner inquiry.
• The content of any message you send us through a contact form, or through the Dada assistant chat widget.
• Profile details you add if you're a Dada Dev (skills, rate, availability) or a partner (organization, contribution notes) in your dashboard.
• Payment records our team enters on your behalf when tracking membership, event or partnership contributions (amount, currency, date), we do not collect card or wallet details directly.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your browser type, device type, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and understand how it's used.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to run the site. Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie preference. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful and how the site can be improved, this helps us measure things like page visits, without identifying you personally. You can change your cookie preference at any time from the banner shown on your first visit, or by clearing your browser's site data for dadahub.org.

4. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and send sign-in links.
• To respond to talent requests, membership applications, partner inquiries and general messages.
• To register you for events and send related updates.
• To run your role-specific dashboard (Dada Dev, Partner or Admin) and the activity, profile and payment records shown there.
• To answer questions you ask the Dada assistant chat widget.
• To improve the site and understand how it's used, where you've consented to analytics.
• To meet legal and security obligations.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site:

• Vercel, for hosting and delivering the site.
• Neon, for secure database storage of form submissions and accounts.
• Resend, for sending sign-in links and transactional email.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
• Anthropic, which powers the Dada assistant chat widget, messages you send it are processed by Anthropic to generate a reply.

Each of these providers is contractually required to protect your information and only use it to provide their service to us.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services, respond to your inquiries, and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data at every step.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask us how it's being used, at any time by emailing hello@dadahub.org.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
